Are you willing to Laugh a little more?

Updated: Mar 11, 2023

10th March 2023

Over the years I have noticed, just by being around some people, I get relaxed and become happy.

Ever wondered, what is that?

Is it because they agree with you?

Is it because they say the things you want to hear?

Or is it because they are just #Joyful?

And…they are willing to let you

BE your original self without any opinions and judgement.

I consider myself lucky to have encountered such amazingly #happy people. The biggest lesson I learnt from them was – You can live your life trying to be serious and constipated at all times OR you can choose to live your life as a happy celebration!

Your laughter is one of the greatest gifts to the world!#accessconsciousness

You can choose to laugh… At yourself… At Life… At your mistakes… At your Stupidity.

If you don’t choose to… the only person who will suffer is YOU.

The sun will rise in the morning as usual;

A new day will arrive;

The earth will still be spinning and...

The birds will still be singing.

Don’t think I am making you wrong…I get it!

I have done it too… judged people for laughing too loud, not being serious, taking time to relax when there is a crisis.

We grow up with the idea that life is about being serious. If you are not serious about life, you are not living the way you should. The society doesn’t approve of you and family doesn’t approve of you.

Your friends, your significant other, everyone who cares about you (you think), advise you to “Be serious!” and very soon you are classified as "Strange", "Casual", "Weird" or “Abnormal”.

Now, who wants to be that? Right?

The truth is, the more serious you are, the more significant everything becomes and the more difficult it is to move past it. When you are serious, you are clutching onto your choice; you must prove a point....You either have to be RIGHT or you have to be WRONG because it is so significant. There has to be an appropriate justification for everything.

What if you could simply laugh and say – Well, that didn’t work out well, did it? What else can I do or be here for this situation to change?

Notice how easy it is when you are ready and willing to move forward, recognizing that it was just a choice that didn’t work, and some other option, some other choice is available.

The more you practice letting go and moving forward, without self-judgement, the more you will laugh naturally... life will get easier and happier bit by bit.

What if you could live your life being joyful without having to seek happiness outside of you?
What if you could be that joyful person to inspire others?
What if you were willing to laugh more?

Try this for next one week and be willing to discover the "Happy You" beneath the seriousness.

Do let me know how it goes!

With Happiness,

Tina Chakrabarti
